Submission of a manuscript to the Clinical & Medical Biochemistry Journal implies that the work described has not been published before, except in the form of an abstract, thesis or lecture, and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Medical biochemistry is the study of biochemical exchanges that occur within the human body in the context of medicine, usually in terms of drug interactions or cellular responses to disease or stimulation.

This journal accepts Original Papers, Review Articles, Short Communications and Letters to the Editor in the fields of Medical Biochemistry, novel information leading to a better understanding of biological mechanisms of human diseases, their prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. Papers concerned with normal metabolic processes or with constituents of normal cells or reports of experimental or clinical studies in animals which are relevant to human disease are also welcomed.  The emphasis will be on publishing qualified papers rapidly and giving free access to researchers worldwide.
